I have been seeing Dr. Challa as my primary care physician, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent care I receive. Dr. Challa is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly takes the time to listen to my concerns. They explain everything clearly, ensuring I understand my treatment options and feel confident in my healthcare decisions.

1/20/25 Wellness Visit …I waited for over an hour for Dr. Challa in a very cold room. Then a nurse came into the room didn’t speak, unprofessional and complaining of how cold it was to her in the room but then hands me a gown to put on & asked if I wanted a flu vaccination and some other shot. I gave her a look of total disgust. I was highly irritated, cold and cramping. I didn’t schedule any further appointments after my wellness visit and lab work. During the visit Dr. Challa stated she would reduce my Mounjaro prescription to 2.5 mg from 5mg and call in my prescription to my local pharmacy during my visit. That wasn’t done! Nothing else was discussed, no concerns or referrals to see any other doctors. Then a few days later Im receiving calls from another doctor’s office regarding a referral from Dr. Challa for a colon screening that I know nothing about so not only am I confused but also very concerned. Then I receive my lab results notification and I can see abnormal results but I’m not a doctor so Im not sure what the results mean. I start to google things and that just made me even more worried. Dr. Challa’s office calls me to schedule a tele visit to discuss my lab results. Then Im notified by Sadia that I have to pay $191.00 in order to have the televisit appointment with Dr. Challa to discuss my lab results and for my prescription for Mounjaro to be sent to my local pharmacy. What in the hell? First of all, I work in healthcare. My insurance is my employer so I do know my health plan benefits. I know I have a deductible with my plan this year but my deductible does not apply to a wellness visit or follow up visit. I even asked Sadia for the diagnosis code that she was using to determine that I have a deductible because that matters and again I know how this works. The diagnosis/procedure code was never provided. Last year when I had different plan details on every visit the staff would tell me I had to pay a copay. No, I don’t have a copay to see my primary care doctor. I have a copay to see a specialist. Dr. Challa is not my specialist, she’s my primary care doctor. You are NOT going to get over on me! It is highly unethical to decline a patient to discuss lab results from a wellness visit. It is also unethical to tell a patient that she has to pay $191.00 in order for a prescription to be sent that was already supposed to be sent days before and even noted on my visit summary that I began said medication on 1/20/25 and I certainly did not. It is not good practice to send referrals without discussing anything with the patient. I am in utter disbelief that I was treated that way especially after establishing care w/ Dr. Challa for the past year. I thought that she truly cared about me and had excellent bedside manners. I was sadly mistaken. My initial establishment of care with her was a bit rocky and unsettling but Dr. Challa was recommended to me and I wanted to give her a chance. The doctor I previously had and absolutely loved moved back to her home state during COVID, and since then it has been extremely challenging and disappointing finding a good primary care doctor that honors the oath they took in caring for patients and isn’t money hungry. This entire situation just showed me that it’s all about money and I’m just a dollar sign. I’ve been working in healthcare for over 7 years. On the hospital medical side and now Im on the health insurance side and I hate how much healthcare has changed over the years. The doctors that truly cared and didn’t treat you like a dollar sign , didn't withhold discussing test results with you, sent prescriptions with no issues in a timely manner during your appointment and discussed any health concerns with you instead of sending referrals behind your back and you are oblivious to what is going on…those things never ever happened to me. I have never been treated this way. Waiting over an hour in a cold room with menstrual cramps only to be treated poorly is absolutely ridiculous. I didn’t have $191.00 to pay, I cancelled the tele-visit appointment so at this juncture not only do I not have the prescription I need that Dr. Challa told me she would call in on 1/20/25. I also don't know the full results & scope of concerns regarding my lab work and why referrals were sent. You tell me if this to speaks to a doctor and staff that truly cares about your health and wellness?

She understood my health issues and have patience to hear my concerns, provided guidance and steps to follow for quick recovery.
Dr.Challa is really helpful to diagnose the issues and provided proper medication as per the lab results.

I’ve been going here for a while, and the staff are always friendly. The doctor is amazing, there is a good trust between the doctor and patient cause you see the same doctor. I’ve been to other places, but I never see the same doctor. It gets tiring to explain the same thing repeatedly, but don’t have to do that here.

I was at the clinic on time and approach to the counter. Counter attendant did all procedure promptly. I had to wait couple of minutes then called.
I was waiting for doctor at the waiting room. Doctor came check me very well.
All staffs are very co-operative.
I will recommend Dr.Sudha Challah of Lenox Medical Clinic for future reference.
